Here are a few of Kerry's latest and favourite stories.
What’s new in Port
The early morning scene on FourMileBeach says it all – life is for living at Port Douglas and the smart are out there grabbing every second of the balmy lifestyle, walking, riding or relaxing with yoga.
A favoured destination for the rich and famous, Port as the locals like to call it, has more than it’s fair share of quality restaurants and shops with high fashion labels a plenty flashing down the main drag of Macrossan Street. You’ll find the locals are tight lipped when it comes to celebrity spotting but head out to eat and you may see famous faces anyhow.
I was wondering why this windy stretch was called the Waterfall Way when there it was, almost smack in the middle of the road. So close it was tempting to slow down the car and stick out my hand, the waterfalls along the Waterfall Way are just some of this area’s delights.
The Waterfall Way leads from CoffsHarbour on the New South Wales’ central coast through the delightful country towns of Bellingen and onto Dorrigo stretching over a distance of 280km to Tamworth. There are waterfalls right on the road, waterfalls in the national park and waterfalls to swim under.
Judging by the number of cars and bikes lining the town streets, we are not the only ones who appreciate this scenic route. Cafes along the way are full of interesting types relaxing over food and wine.
